Account Clerk 3 - Business Office Murfreesboro, Tennessee
This position supports the university's financial operations by ensuring accurate processing of various student account activities, refunds, and collections, with a focus on high accuracy and collaboration across departments. Key Responsibilities: 1. Student Account Maintenance: Process and verify housing, meal, and other miscellaneous refunds, ensuring proper documentation and adjustments for financial aid or third-party sponsorships. Manage tuition refunds by analyzing eligibility based on withdrawal dates and other criteria, liaising with financial aid, records, and other offices as needed. 2. Collections & Write-Offs: Handle collections, bankruptcy cases, and credit balance cleanup. This includes maintaining bankruptcy records, coordinating with the Attorney General, and ensuring proper notifications and procedures for uncollectable accounts. Work closely with collection agencies to resolve outstanding debts and report payments accurately. Prepare documentation for legal proceedings when necessary. 3. Outreach Specialist - CHHS Murfreesboro, Tennessee
