Job Summary/Basic Function

Train and serve as a Police Officer qualified to carry firearms; patrol the campus community, testify in court proceedings, maintain accurate records; operate and maintain law enforcement equipment; enforce university, state and local laws; investigate suspected criminal incidents and respond to emergency situations. Graduate and receive P.O.S.T. certification from a Basic Police Academy in the State of Tennessee. (Candidates with law enforcement certification in another state must successfully complete a lateral training class and achieve P.O.S.T. Certification) Successfully complete all Field Training Program requirements as indicated by Daily Observation Reports and review by the Training Sergeant.

Required Education

High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.

Required Related Experience

No experience required.
Honorable discharge required if have military experience.

Required License/Registration/Certification

Applicant must be a US citizen, 20 years of age at the date of hire, and possess a valid drivers license. Must pass a psychological and physical examination administered by a licensed professional at the department’s expense.

Desirable Related Experience

One year of discipline free law enforcement experience and training preferred. Bachelors degree preferred.

Desirable License/Registration/Certification

Tennessee P.O.S.T. Certification preferred; National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification preferred.

Teacher 1 - Ann Campbell Early Learning Center (ACE)

Reporting to the Director of the Ann Campbell Early Learning Center (ACE), the Teacher will create developmentally appropriate learning environments and experiences for toddlers and/or preschoolers with and without developmental delays, based on individual child assessments and developmentally appropriate practices. The Teacher will collaborate with a co-teacher and other classroom adults to facilitate the learning and development of all children through active engagement in a variety of daily activities and routines. The Teacher will support families as they transition their children to and from the Center each day and will model effective practices and provide guidance and information to University students completing course requirements within the classroom. The Teacher will also perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Classroom Assistant Teacher
