Job Summary/Basic Function

Provide executive-level operational support for the Director of Campus Recreation as well as the daily operations of the Campus Rec Center. Serve as a key administrative partner in coordinating financial, personnel, and operational processes across multiple functional areas within Campus Recreation which includes but is not limited to: managing and safeguarding confidential administrative, personnel, and financial information; maintaining comprehensive knowledge of university policies, procedures, and compliance requirements; supporting departmental fiscal management through financial review, reconciliation, reporting, and budget monitoring for 24 departmental indexes totaling approximately $2.9 million in annual operational funds; research, retrieve; and compile, and analyze financial and operational data to support departmental reporting, strategic planning, budget projections, and executive decision-making.
The incumbent is also responsible for all employment processes of over 165 student employees as well as 19 professional and para-professional staff. This includes having sound knowledge of the Oracle employment suite which includes workflow management, EPAF's, onboarding documentation; personnel tracking, and records managements.
The incumbent serves as integral conduit of procedural operations to all staff of Campus Recreation and contributes to departmental initiatives and continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, service, and organizational effectiveness.

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree

Required Related Experience

One year of progressively responsible secretarial/administrative office experience to include accounting, bookkeeping, or office management. Note: a high school diploma/high school equivalency and four years of related experience, or an Associate's degree (two years of related college coursework) and two years of related experience may be considered.

Desirable Related Experience

Prior Office Management and/or bookkeeping working with large, complex budgets as well as multi level employment practices.
