Research Associate Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Under the direction of the Business and Economic Research Center (BERC) director, the Research Associate performs a wide range of duties in support of the regional economic, business, and community professional services that BERC provides. These duties may include economic and fiscal impact analyses; feasibility studies; statistical analyses; economic and business trend analyses; regional performance analyses and benchmarking; survey design; literature review on economic and business issues and studies; database creation and maintenance; presentation of data using current visualization tools; and grant proposal development, writing, and submission.
Coordinator - Ticket Operations Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Provide assistance to the Director of Ticket Operations by developing ticketing campaigns within the Ticketmaster Archtics or Host ticketing system. Provide assistance with special event ticketing for on and off campus events and groups. Maintain the priority point system within Archtics for the Blue Raider Athletic Association; perform season ticket printing and mailing as necessary in addition to over the counter or phone renewals. Assist with supervision of student and temporary workers at events. Assistant Coach 1 - Football (Offensive Coordinator) Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Assist the Head Football Coach develop and maintain a quality NCAA Division I A Football program that will be competitive on the field and in the classroom within NCAA guidelines and in a professional manner. Serve as an offensive coordinator/coach working with the offense and the athletes to develop the offensive system and individual skills. Serve as a positive authority figure, a role model and a counselor to our student athletes advising them in matters related to their sport and education. Serve as an ambassador of the university and a valued member of the community. Make public appearances and speak at civic events within the community in the absence of the head coach or as assigned; attend national, Conference USA meetings and national football conventions to stay current of their sports including changes that occur. Expected to know and follow NCAA rules and regulations and successfully pass the recruiting test each year to recruit for the university. The assistant coach will immediately report any known violations of NCAA rules to the Director of Compliance; ensure all NCAA Compliance documentation is completed accurately and turned in to the compliance office in a timely fashion. Essential duties include organization and administration of the university's NCAA Division I Football offensive system and assisting the Head Coach with: on field coaching, on/off campus recruiting, scheduling, budget funds, monitor student athlete's academic progress and break down opponents tendencies for scouting reports.
Executive Aide - Physics & Astronomy Murfreesboro, Tennessee
The Department of Physics & Astronomy is looking for a friendly and helpful executive assistant to join our family of educators. We are a relatively small department with 16 faculty, a few graduate student assistants, and a part-time laboratory coordinator. Our close-knit community is welcoming and has the reputation of being one of the happiest places to work at MTSU. Since there is only one executive assistant in the department, the duties for this position cover a wide range of responsibilities but the stress level is low. This position greets students and visitors that arrive with questions, and is the primary contact when faculty need assistance as well. This position reports directly to the department chair and is physically located at the entry point to the department suite so that traffic into the chairperson’s office can be monitored. It is not necessary to be a current MTSU employee to succeed in this position.
Counselor - Counseling Services Murfreesboro, Tennessee
10 month position August through May / 37.5 hours per week. Provide short term mental health counseling and crisis interventions to currently enrolled MTSU students. Provide appropriate referral services for students with mental health needs beyond MTSU Counseling Services' scope of care followed by brief case management services to ensure continuity of care. Communicate with in-house professional staff/psychiatrists, insurance providers and/or local care providers as necessary to effect referrals. Coordinate and facilitate counseling and skill building groups for students. As requested, provide psycho-educational outreach presentations to classes, student groups, and faculty/administrative groups. Serve as a consultant to faculty, departments and administration as appropriate, and perform other related tasks or special projects as assigned.
Coordinator - TN Miller Coliseum Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Serve as a member of the Tennessee Miller Coliseum (TMC) workforce responsible for maintaining the condition of the facilities and premises that include the set up and break down for events held at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum. Director - Education Abroad Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Reporting to the Vice Provost International Affairs (VPIA) serve as Director of the Education Abroad (EA) Office. Oversee and assist students with study abroad and exchange programs, provide and direct recruitment strategies for increased participation. Direct the daily operations of the office to include: manage budget, work with faculty interested in MTSU signature programs and assist those faculty in program budgets and logistics, program promotions and implementation. Work with Deans and chairs to align EA offerings with academic degree programs and maps; coordinate with academic advisors to promote and advise interested students in MTSU approved programs. Advisor - Education Abroad Murfreesboro, Tennessee
The Advisor Education Abroad (EA) is responsible for providing guidance to students on the availability, value, and academic appropriateness of the various approved MTSU education abroad programs. The Advisor EA will advise students in one on one and group informational sessions; organize promotional strategies; address groups of students, parents, and faculty; respond to inquiries; prepare pre departure orientation sessions; and create and update information on Education Abroad programs within terra dotta. The Advisor EA will assist the Director with education abroad budgeting and recruitment. The Advisor EA will work with any MTSU student interested in adding an education abroad program into their academic degree and assist the traditional advisors by providing educational guidance and assistance for students through planning schedules, recommending courses and determining appropriate educational solutions.
