Early Intervention Specialist

The Early Intervention (EI) Specialist will provide regular home and/or community based educational services to children birth to three years who have developmental delays or disabilities, and provide support for their families as outlined on the family's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). The EI will work collaboratively with other professionals (e.g., service coordinators, therapists, interpreters, etc.) to support these children and their families by participating in IFSP meetings, completing visits together; exchanging information about strategies for helping families achieve child and family goals; maintaining accurate and up to date documentation as required by the program and by the state funding agency and performing other related tasks or special projects as assigned. Primarily reporting to the Science Buildings each workday but may be assigned to work or assist with work at other MTSU facilities. Perform a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various facilities/sites including electrical, plumbing, masonry, and carpentry. Perform repairs, rebuilds and new installations. Performs preventive maintenance on exhaust fans, fume hoods, sewer pumps, backflow testing, service and repair. Work involves air compressors, replacement of belts and lubrication, dishwashers, electrical motors, frost free faucets, garbage disposals, grease traps (in cafeterias), lighting fixtures, lighting controls, including photocontrols and timers, motor controls, multi-phase exhaust fan motors, power receptacles, repair and installation of plumbing fixtures. Work involves installation and repair of water piping, electrical, sanitary sewage lines and irrigation. Perform other related tasks or special projects as assigned. Work locations include all university property, Guy James Farm, Swine Farm, Foundation Reception House, Beef Unit and Airport. Emergency overtime and after hour callbacks may be required. |
Associate Director - Athletic Compliance

Assist the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance develop, monitor and oversee all aspects of NCAA compliance for the University's 17 NCAA Division I athletic programs. Essential tasks include: ensure athletics observance of University, Conference USA, and NCAA Legislation in areas of personnel, amateurism, recruiting, initial and continuing eligibility, financial aid, extra benefits, awards, housing and playing and practice sessions and Division I membership requirements. Additional duties include but are not limited to: assist in all NCAA investigation of infractions of NCAA rules; oversee and assist with the implementation of a comprehensive rules education program; monitor all NCAA documentation required from the coaches for the operation of the athletic program. Serve as a member of the athletic compliance committee; assist to monitor all athletics research and interpret rules for coaches, student-athletes, administrators, university staff and other representatives of athletic interest. The position will also re-establish and oversee the Minority and Equity Athletic Committees. Additionally, the position will re-organize and oversee the NCAA Life Skills program for the student athletes and develop programs and speakers to enhance the overall student athlete experience in all physical mental and social aspects of college athletics. |
