Job Summary/Basic Function
Provide support for the Horse Science program, the Director, the two Chairs of Excellence in Equine Reproductive Physiology and Equine Health, faculty, staff and students. Support includes assisting students and general public with questions; schedule and coordinate tours; maintain accounting records for Horse Science budget and all accounts (foundation, operating, scholarships, grants, monitor horse board payments); use Banner, Workflow and MT$ource as needed for budget, contracts, graduate assistantships, and course registration permits; maintain horse inventory records; assist with travel coordination, authorizations and claims; coordinate and disseminate materials for horse judging contests and public service functions; order office and classroom supplies; submit work orders for building and equipment; manage shipping of stallion genetics, research samples and other packages; schedule meetings, and perform other office support functions as needed.
Required Education
High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.
Required Related Experience
Three years office management experience including accounting/budget responsibilities.
Note: An Associate's degree (two years of college coursework) and one year related experience may be considered in lieu of work experience.
Required Essential Knowledge
Know or Learn University policies and procedures.
Accounting principles and policies
Personal computer skills: PC, Banner, Workflow, MT$ource.
Required Essential Abilities
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituents.
Work independently; multi-task and prioritize assignments.
