Job Summary/Basic Function

Responsible for performing financial, operational, and compliance audits of the university's processes and functions following accepted professional standards. Audit activities include management advisory services, assist with contract audit services for two community colleges, reviews of EDP systems, and special studies or investigations.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting.

Required Related Experience

Internal Auditor: One year of successful full time employment, preferably in a responsible auditing or accounting position or with a public accounting firm.
Senior Internal Auditor: Three years of successful full time employment in a responsible auditing or accounting position or with a public accounting firm.

Required License/Registration/Certification

Internal Auditor: Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor OR actively pursuing such designation. Consideration given for achieving the certified fraud examiner certification.
Senior Internal Auditor: Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor. Consideration given to CFE.

Desirable Related Experience

Internal Auditor: Auditing, internal auditing, or higher education.
Senior Internal Auditor: Three years of experience working in higher education.
