Job Summary/Basic Function

The subscriptions coordinator will participate in library operations as a member of the Collection Development and Management department. Reporting to the Continuing Resources Librarian, this position will contribute to the maintenance of hundreds of library subscriptions for print and electronic resources. The subscriptions coordinator will review invoices for accuracy, create receipts in the MTSU procurement system, enter invoices, track workflows and receive print materials in the library system (FOLIO). Troubleshooting problems will involve communicating with colleagues, vendors and contacts on campus. Other duties include preparing and processing shipments for commercial binding, repairing damaged books, assisting with projects and training student assistants. Successful performance of duties requires the use of systems and technologies, strong attention to detail, communication and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and participate in a highly collaborative environment.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Required Related Experience

One (1) year of full-time or two (2) years of part-time experience in data entry or similar work.

Desirable Related Experience

Library work experience (student or staff) in library operations (acquisitions, serials, cataloging, processing). Experience with Excel.
