Job Summary/Basic Function
The SSBCI Program Reporting and Operations Specialist will manage and oversee reporting, compliance tracking, and administrative operations for Tennessee’s SSBCI Technical Assistance Program. Operating within the framework of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), this position is critical to ensuring grant integrity, data accuracy, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. The manager will lead data reporting processes, coordinate financial workflows, maintain compliance with federal and university policies, and support strategic operations of the program.
This customer-facing role involves direct interaction with vendors, service providers, and MTSU departments. The position also plays a key role in operational planning and documentation that supports program continuity, evaluation, and expansion across the state.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Note: An Associate’s degree with five years of directly relevant experience and progressively responsible experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
Required Related Experience
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in financial reporting, grant administration, or program operations.
Desirable Related Experience
• Experience with state or federal program reporting.
• Prior experience using grant or university-specific reporting systems.
• Experience working in higher education, government, or nonprofit grant-funded environments preferred.
