Job Summary/Basic Function
Provide direct support to CHHS leadership to identify, apply for, and manage pre- award tasks related to external grants and contracts and develop, manage, and implement fundraising and development activities for CHHS. Identify potential funding opportunities to include private donations, fundraising campaigns, special events, and federal, state, and private funders and present to CHHS Director. Work with Director to develop proposals based on identified funding areas, opportunities, or project visions identified and/or prioritized by the Director that reflect the CHHS mission and vision. Develop and execute task lists approved by the CHHS Director for a successful application with a proposal that is complete, competitive, and in compliance with university requirements.. Work collaboratively with Office of Research and Sponsored Programs which will submit grant proposals, following ORSP procedures and policies. Provide updates to Director on progress of sponsorship and development activities and grant proposals prepared and request information needed to complete all proposal components including the budget and all required supplemental materials. Develop electronic file management system for all fundraising, development, and grant activities. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Education
Master's Degree with 2 year of experience (see below) or bachelor’s degree with 4 years of progressively responsible experience (see below).
Required Related Experience
Master’s Degree: 2 years of experience in development and fundraising, grant writing, research administration, development, public relations, customer service/support, or other related field.
Bachelor’s Degree: 4 years of progressively responsible experience in fund raising and development, grant writing, research administration, development, public relations, customer service/support, or other related field.
Desirable Related Experience
Prior experience in higher education administration preferred.
