Job Summary/Basic Function
The Academic Affairs Coordinator supports the Vice Provost for Academic Administration and Resources (VPAAR). This position is a front-line customer service-oriented job in addition to the daily management of the office. The incumbent should be able to manage multiple issues, prioritize responsibilities while meeting deadlines, and discreetly handle confidential information. The coordinator must have effective communication, diplomacy, and organizational skills. In addition, the coordinator is required to have advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, a proactive and independent approach to work, the capacity to be a team player with a keen sense of ownership, and the demonstrated ability to focus on details with accuracy.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree
Note: a high school diploma/high school equivalency and six years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
Required Related Experience
Two years progressively responsible secretarial/clerical work experience.
Desirable Related Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred. Three or more years of higher education experience preferred. CAP preferred.
