Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of History at Middle Tennessee State University seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position (#126240) in Ancient or Medieval Europe or Mediterranean World, broadly conceived, before the year 1500, at the rank of assistant/associate professor. This position begins August 1, 2025.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in classical or medieval history and other courses for undergraduates and graduate students. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in and contribute to our general education curriculum and work with campus partners. Candidates must also have an active research agenda.
Required Education
A terminal degree in history or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
