Job Summary/Basic Function
The Slate Captain serves as the subject matter expert for the design, configuration strategy, development, training, security, and technical expertise for Slate CRM. This position requires an individual with strong leadership and organizational skills, business acumen, and technical savvy – particularly with Slate, Axiom, and Ellucian Banner. This role will also be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the complex interdependencies of the different software and systems that work with Slate, including being required to identify risks related to these interdependencies and recommend adequate changes to the business requirements.
This position is integral to CRM operation, customization, integration, development, security, and staff training. This position serves as the primary technical liaison with functional Slate users to facilitate/recommend/advocate/lead implementation of new processes and the development of future related technological tools and systems. This position will engage with customers and stakeholders, recommend system enhancements, oversee manual and technical processes, be responsible for data integrity, system stability and security, coordinate Slate initiatives between all offices, and be a liaison between technical staff, non-technical staff, and vendors.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field; or Bachelor’s degree in any area with four years experience in an Enrollment Service role requiring technical and functional knowledge (funky-tech).
Required Related Experience
- Four years experience as an administrator/manager/developer in Slate CRM.
- Experience with system integration, operation, and data management.
- Experience providing technical support to a university admissions office with a solid understanding of undergraduate, graduate, and international admissions processes.
