Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Biology invites applications for three full-time, temporary faculty positions (#103120, #103140, and #105010) at the rank of lecturer. These positions are one-year contracts with possible annual renewal for up to three years. The start date for these positions is August 1, 2024.

The successful candidates will teach classes in Anatomy & Physiology (BIOL 2010/2011 and 2020/2021), Genetics (BIOL 3250), Exploring Life (BIOL 1030), and/or General Ecology (BIOL 3400/3401). These positions will be 100% teaching with no obligation for research or service. For more information about the Biology Department, please visit our web page at www.mtsu.edu/biology

Required Education

A master's degree in Biology or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.

Other Desirables

Applicants with teaching experience in higher education and those with a PhD in Biology or a closely related field will receive special consideration.
