Assistant Director - Operations Management TBTV

| The Assistant Director, Operations Management oversees the management of the inventory and maintenance of university-owned gear related to event productions. They supervise staff at the Event Productions warehouse and storage facilities, as well as at the repair shop located. They serve as Senior Project Manager for event planning and design through the final execution of the project and as the Senior Audio Technician on all major events, including system design, quality control, show execution standards, and support live and broadcast events across the university campus. Additional responsibilities include the following: (1) oversee warehouse operations as needed by ensuring proper inventory management, gear prep, and load-in/load-out processes; (2) organize and manage all equipment transportation to event locations; (3) supervise and prioritize gear repairs and maintenance, including repairs that are handled internally by our inhouse shop or externally by manufacturers, integrators, and other external repair facilities; (4) track gear repair and maintenance status; and (5) establish and maintain technical standards for the equipment.
A group of responsibilities is shared and coordinated with the Assistant Director, Technical Operations, which include the following: (1) provide project management duties for events assigned by the Director of True Blue TV Event Productions including the design, management, and execution of event functions; (2) development of equipment lists, diagrams, and equipment allocation to execute the functions properly; (3) identification and recruitment of appropriate crew members that are properly trained for the specific events; (4) ensure that audio/lighting/video/streaming/graphic equipment are properly programmed, and (5) ensure proper event work site safety procedures are followed by all staff in accordance university policy, OSHA, and TOSHA. |

Manager - Ground Operations

| The Ground Operations Manager, as a direct report to the Director of Aerospace – Airport Operations (DAAO), is responsible for the strategic management of ground operations for the MTSU Flight Training Program to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency. Performs other related tasks and special projects as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Oversees daily ramp operations, including aircraft ground movements, servicing, and parking.
- Scheduling and Dispatch: Effective execution of aircraft scheduling strategy, including oversight of aircraft dispatch operations
- Safety and Compliance: Works closely with Assistant Director of Flight Training, Flight Training Managers, Manager of Aircraft Maintenance, and other key stakeholders to maximize safety, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, evaluate, and develop Ground Operations Coordinators and 70+ student dispatch/line service personnel.
- Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with maintenance staff for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
- Customer Service and Finance: Act as a point of contact for students and instructors. Coordinate flight training, financial recordkeeping, invoicing of training activities, and audit readiness.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure accurate and up-to-date tracking of aircraft maintenance events and student financial and operational records. |

Director of Scholars Academy

| Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost of Student Success, the Director of the Scholars Academy will oversee all operations, programming, and outcomes of the Scholars Academy. The Director will be responsible for recruitment and program growth as well as measuring success of the program by meeting persistence, retention, and completion goals. The Director will supervise the Assistant Director of Scholars Academy as well as recruit, train, and schedule all peer mentors included in the program. Additional responsibilities include working collaboratively with campus partners to identify programs, workshops, and related activities to enhance student involvement and success. The Director will also continually develop and maintain community partnerships to create awareness opportunities that further the program's vision and goals. |
