Job Summary/Basic Function

The role of Systems Analyst 2 is to maintain data integrity and ensure the smooth operation of the Enterprise Application systems and integrations with third-party applications. This position will collaborate closely with end-users, monitor business processes, and offer innovative solutions to enhance administrative functions that support students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the institution's broader objectives. The Systems Analyst 2 will contribute to the overall business improvement process, exhibit excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and decision-making skills, and possess a thorough understanding of programming, database, and API concepts and design.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to, maintaining data integrity to ensure efficient Enterprise Application operations and integrations with third-party systems; collaborating closely with end-users to gather requirements, design, test, and implement computer information systems, software applications, integrations, reports, dashboards, and process improvements that support the institution’s goals; monitoring and assessing the quality of technical and functional business processes to identify data-related issues, and provide effective resolutions; conducting feasibility studies of programming requests and provide technical guidance to customers on programming issues; assisting operations staff in troubleshooting and resolving system-related problems; coordinating the installation of patches and upgrades with database administrators, system support teams, and functional users; maintaining expertise in the institution's enterprise applications, reporting techniques, and relevant business procedures; serving as a knowledgeable resource to guide and train other Systems Analysts on business processes, data usage, system integration, and cross-system dependencies; acting as a liaison between technical teams and user departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration; and contributing continuously to business improvement initiatives.

ITD is seeking a qualified candidate to provide technical support for the Finance, Accounts Receivable, and Document Management systems and business functions. 

Required Education

Associate degree or bachelor's degree (experience requirements for each degree are in the Required Related Experience section)

Required Related Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field: Two (2) years of relevant experience is required.

Bachelor's degree in any field: Three (3) years of relevant experience is required.

Associate's degree in any field: Four (4) years of relevant experience is required.

Relevant experience earned as a graduate assistant or student worker may be considered.

Desirable Related Experience

Experience working in higher education administrative programming.
Experience providing technical support to Ellucian Banner.
Experience providing technical support to Oracle ERP, HCM, and EPM Cloud Applications.

This position serves as a key member of the advising team and provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and student support services that contribute to student success, retention, and timely degree completion.
