Job Summary/Basic Function

The purpose of the Academic Coordinator is to assist in the implementation and development of the federally funded TRIO Upward Bound program. The Federal TRIO Programs (TRIO) are federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for high school individuals from disadvantaged background. The critical elements of the position include: identifying and recruiting program participants, assist low-income and first generation-generation high school students through the academic pipeline from high school to pos-secondary enrollment, implementing program activities to achieve program objectives, and maintaining accurate and complete participant records.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Required Related Experience

Two (2) years full time experience in advising, counseling, or program coordination related positions. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in promoting secondary school enrollment persistence, increasing secondary school graduation rates, promoting college degree attainment rates of low-income potential first-generation college students.

Desirable Related Experience

Master’s degree. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in promoting secondary school enrollment persistence, increasing secondary school graduation rates, promoting college degree attainment rates of low-income potential first-generation college students.

Teacher 1 - Ann Campbell Early Learning Center (ACE)

Reporting to the Director of the Ann Campbell Early Learning Center (ACE), the Teacher will create developmentally appropriate learning environments and experiences for toddlers and/or preschoolers with and without developmental delays, based on individual child assessments and developmentally appropriate practices. The Teacher will collaborate with a co-teacher and other classroom adults to facilitate the learning and development of all children through active engagement in a variety of daily activities and routines. The Teacher will support families as they transition their children to and from the Center each day and will model effective practices and provide guidance and information to University students completing course requirements within the classroom. The Teacher will also perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Classroom Assistant Teacher

Assist lead teacher with carrying out the daily activities of the classroom, including leading and engaging children in small and large group activities, assisting with regular routine tasks such as toileting, preparing and assisting with snacks and lunch, and supervising children at all times. Take full responsibility/lead for classroom activities and supervision/oversight when lead teacher's shift ends 1.5 hours each day and in the absence of the lead teacher.
