| Provide courteous and efficient customer service to MTSU community and the customers from the neighborhood. Assist with the mailing and receiving of letters and packages through various mail/parcel carriers. Maintain and reconcile cash and stamp inventory of up to $2,500, ensuring all transactions fall within the required $5 tolerance. Accurately weigh, measure, and rate domestic and international parcels to determine postage based on USPS standards. Process money orders in full compliance of USPS regulations. Accept passport applications with full compliance and training procedures with a satisfactory score of no less than 90% with US Passport Agency. Explain postal regulations, services, and mailing options to customers to help them make informed decisions. Assist students with various post office locker situations regarding mail and parcels. Work with a tracking and Mail Locker system. Back up support for daily processing of outgoing mail through the Pitney Bowes and Smart Parcel mailing systems. Process metered mail via the PB system and sort and distribute incoming mail and packages, including secure locker placement. Serve as a backup for preparing USPS end of day financial report, ensuring accuracy and adherence to USPS and university compliance standards.
Desirable Related Experience: Previous experience in a Post Office, Postal Contract Station, Mail Center in a Corporate environment, with related customer service abilities. Ability to process passport applications is desired but not necessary. |

Perform other related maintenance work requiring the operation of skid steer and attachments. Maintain and repair Deionized central water system; install and repair fused chemical piping; install and remove data loggers and check sensors; repair, test and install backflow devices; and repair sensitive scientific equipment to include boilers for environmental chambers, snorkel arms, and fume hoods.
