| Reporting to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Recruitment, the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Recruitment has responsibility for all duties and activities that support the recruitment and admission of students to Middle Tennessee State University, a large, complex state institution. Provide supervision to professional recruitment staff, including direct supervision to five recruiters. Oversee travel assignments, territory management, and goals for recruitment staff; report all progress to the Associate Director, Director, and VP. Serve as an official representative of Middle Tennessee State University at college fairs, high school visits, two-year college visits, and other recruitment activities.
Essential duties include: Tracking application and admissions trends; providing leadership and mentorship to the recruitment team. Resolve recruiter problems (on and off the road) while providing fill-in/back-up travel duties as necessary. Provide information about the University to prospective students and their families; compile, analyze, and assess data for use in recruitment and enrollment decisions; conduct application file evaluations. Encourage, promote and maintain relationships with high school guidance counselors and community college partners; conduct information sessions for campus visitors; maintain regular correspondence with prospective students; perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Extensive travel, evening work, and weekend events are required. |
