Serves as a liaison to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) related to flight training operations. Performs stage checks, end-of-course checks, flight instructor upgrades, and ground training for flights, as required. Develops, manages, and updates training course outlines. Teaches Flight Instructor Fundamentals course; assignment to teach this course may vary by term based on departmental needs. Coordinates with the Director of Aerospace – Airport Operations to determine and forecast the current and future needs of the Flight Training Program. This position collaborates closely with end-users, monitors business processes, and offers innovative solutions to enhance administrative functions that support students, faculty, staff, alums, and the institution's broader objectives. The Systems Analyst 2 will contribute to the overall business improvement process, exhibit excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and decision-making skills, and possess a thorough understanding of programming, database, and API concepts and design.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to, close collaboration with end-users to gather requirements, design, test, and implement information systems, applications, integrations, reports, dashboards, and process improvements that support the institution's goals; maintaining expertise in the institution's enterprise applications, SQL, reporting techniques, and programming languages; serving as a knowledgeable resource to guide and train other Systems Analysts on business processes, data usage, system integration, and cross-system dependencies; acting as a liaison between technical teams and user departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration; and contributing continuously to business improvement initiatives.
