Job Summary/Basic Function

The Concrete and Construction Laboratory Manager is responsible for the management, organization, and supervision of the daily operations of the Undergraduate CIM lab, Soils and Cement lab, Construction Materials and Concrete Research Lab in the School of Concrete and Construction. In addition, the lab manager will provide support in external research and community project efforts. Essential tasks include: perform materials and supply inventories, order materials, and assist faculty in lab set up for classes; provide consulation to faculty and student project teams; work with faculty and students on undergraduate research, competitions and certifications. Maintain lab equipment; supervise student workers in the labs; coordinate the acquisition, development, and use of equipment resources used to support and enhance student's education; coordinate any graduate student research activities in the labs along with faculty members and perform other related tasks as assigned.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree required by the time of appointment.

Required Related Experience

Three years of progressively responsible experience in concrete construction, production or materials laboratory environment.

Required License/Registration/Certification

ACI Level 1 Field Technician required at time of appointment.
