Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Human Sciences at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#207020) in Child Development and Family Studies (CEDFS) at the rank of Lecturer. This position is for Spring 2023 only. The start date for the appointment is January 1, 2023. The position is contingent upon funding.

The successful candidate is expected to teach classes such as Family Relations, Human Development III, and The Contemporary Family.

Required Education

A master’s degree in Family and Consumer Studies, Human Development and Family Studies, or a closely related area from an accredited college or university is required.

Other Desirables

Applicants who can teach online and face-to-face classes and those with experience working with children and families in the medical system (either in coursework or professionally) will receive special consideration.
