Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Social Work at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) coordinator-track faculty position (#168110) at the rank of Instructor. This is an annual contract that may be continued based upon a positive annual evaluation and recommendation. The start date for the position is August 1, 2021. The position is contingent upon funding. The start date for the appointment is August 1, 2022. The position is contingent upon funding.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide field coordination in accordance with CSWE standards. Duties include recruiting agency placements, orienting agency field instructors, interviewing and placing students, orienting students, maintaining field manuals, and teaching social work courses.
Required Education
Master's degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program
Required Related Experience
Two (2) years post MSW practice experience. Teaching experience in a CSWE accredited program (adjunct work acceptable) is required.
Required License/Registration/Certification
State of Tennessee Social Work license at MSW level or license eligible
Other Desirables
Candidates with experience in social work field education as a field coordinator, field instructor, or field liaison will receive special consideration.
