The Early Intervention (EI) Specialist will provide regular home and/or community based educational services to children birth to three years who have developmental delays or disabilities, and provide support for their families as outlined on the family's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). The EI will work collaboratively with other professionals (e.g., service coordinators, therapists, interpreters, etc.) to support these children and their families by participating in IFSP meetings, completing visits together; exchanging information about strategies for helping families achieve child and family goals; maintaining accurate and up to date documentation as required by the program and by the state funding agency and performing other related tasks or special projects as assigned. The Director will report to the Dean of University College and be responsible for the central administration of both Summer and Winter intersession terms. The Director will establish and monitor conditions to ensure the success of each term and closely monitor and maintain a budget to ensure desired profitably. The director will understand and enforce university policy, procedures, strategies, full-time equivalencies, and student credit hours. Will be responsible for the review and approval of all summer/winter session expenditures including faculty and administrative pay. Work collaboratively with deans, directors, chairs, etc. to plan and ensure the availability of high-quality courses for intersession terms and make effective use of MTSU's campus resources. Responsible for the training and support of all academic departments and tactical day-to-day activities. Provide central planning to develop long-range goals in accordance stated in the University's master plan. Implement and execute marketing strategies to increase awareness of both summer and winter sessions. Analyze and evaluate ongoing and new issues, proposals, and programs as they affect summer and winter sessions. Monitor and make programmatic decisions based on current trends, initiatives, and University developments to accomplish goals and objectives. Employs appropriate techniques and strategies to resolve problems and complaints arising from academic departments, faculty, administration, and students. Maintain working relationships with university staff as needed to improve operations ex. financial aid, admissions & records, study abroad, student affairs, college advisors, payroll services, sponsored programs, bursar's office, budget office, information technology, marketing and communications, and controller's office. |

The EC I position is designed as the entry level position for the MT One Stop and is phase 1 of a 3-tier progression plan. The EC I is assigned to the front desk of the MT One Stop to serve as the primary point of contact for students seeking assistance in initial enrollment, ongoing retention and provide general assistance with transactions related to any of the enrollment services areas. Essential tasks include: answer general questions and problem solve across all enrollment management areas that include: bursar, financial aid, academic processes & residency, scheduling, and records.
