Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Chemistry at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a postdoctoral research assistant position (G63010). The position is available as early as March 1, 2022, with an appointment period of up to nine months.

The primary focus of the research is on the development of density functional theory for nondynamic correlation. The result will improve the prediction of DFT for strongly correlated molecular systems.

Required Education

Doctoral degree in theoretical/computational chemistry

Other Desirables

Candidates who possess a strong background in math and physics, have a working knowledge of the latest developments of DFT functionals for nondynamic correlation, and have knowledge of scientific programming with quantum chemistry software will receive special consideration.
