Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Art and Design at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#122070) at the rank of Lecturer for Art History/Art Appreciation. This is a one year appointment with possible annual renewal for up to three years total. Start date for the position is August 1, 2021. Position contingent upon funding.
Courses taught may include Art History Survey: Renaissance to Modern, upper division courses in area of specialty, and Art Appreciation.
Required Education
Master's of Art or ABD in Art History by appointment date
Other Desirables
Applicants with PhD in Art History and two years teaching experience or its equivalent in Museum Studies will receive special consideration.
