Job Summary/Basic Function
Middle Tennessee State University's program in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#120030) at the rank of assistant/associate professor. Start date for the position is August 1, 2021. Position contingent upon funding.
Duties include teaching courses at the undergraduate level in phonetics, speech sound disorders, anatomy and physiology, and other courses related to the field; supervision of undergraduate student clinicians; advising; public and university service; grant writing; and research. Commitment to outstanding teaching, research, public and university service is expected.
Terminal degree in Speech Language Pathology by appointment date
Required License/Certificate of Clinical Competence/SLP; and
Tennessee State Licensure or expectation to obtain such
Candidates who have expertise in phonological/articulation development and disorders, proficiency in clinical supervision and intervention with linguistically and culturally diverse populations as well as those with prior experience in teaching phonetics, anatomy, and speech sound disorders will receive special consideration; however, all areas in the field will be considered.
