| The Classroom Audio Visual Technician will provide professional microcomputer and audio visual support and maintenance for any MTSU owned or occupied space via phone, email, and in person. This position provides design, installation, training, maintenance, and technical support of new and existing classroom/computer lab and conference room technology. This includes, but is not limited to digital signage, projectors, speakers, Mac and windows computers, control modules, audio/video switchers, document cameras, video cameras, interactive touch panels, and printers. This position documents all support interactions in ITD's ticketing system. | The Career Development Center Coordinator plays a vital role in the unit’s operations and outreach. This position serves as the primary point of contact for employers, job postings, and student and event engagement through the Handshake platform, while also providing direct support to students and employers with questions related to system use and participation in Center activities.
Approximately 50% of the role is dedicated to supporting the Assistant Director of Employer Relations through event coordination, including securing on- and off-campus reservations, coordinating logistics such as space, equipment, and catering, and ensuring the successful execution of employer-facing and student-focused events.
The remaining 50% supports the Director through operational and administrative functions. Responsibilities include budget reconciliation; purchasing and bid solicitation; and oversight of P-Card transactions, Banner/Oracle activity, and MT Source documentation. The coordinator manages invoices, vendors, travel arrangements, and recurring memberships, and reconciles multiple accounts, including operating, revenue, Career Closet, and foundation funds.
This role also manages staff onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing and submitting hiring and termination paperwork, PAFs, and PEFs. The coordinator serves as the faculty point of contact for presentation requests, supports advising staff with appointment reporting, leads Career Closet operations, and helps manage the department’s main email inbox.
Additionally, the coordinator oversees the front office, providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders, and supports special projects and other duties as assigned. |
