Job Summary/Basic Function

Responsible for maintaining and processing student discounts, waivers, graduate assistantships, grants, corporate partner discounts and departmental scholarships. This includes verifying eligibility, reconciling accounts, applying transactions, scanning documents for audit support, and managing the Finance Upload (FUPLOAD) process in Banner. Duties also involve monthly, semester, and yearly reporting, calculating proration of graduate assistantships, running and reconciling ARGOS reports, verifying registration, and preparing FUPLOAD spreadsheets.
Provide daily customer service to students, staff, and faculty regarding student accounts. This includes analyzing student accounts for activity and accuracy, assisting students with information about payments, refunds, 1098-T tax forms, third-party payments, and understanding and conveying a wide range of MTSU policies. Perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Required Education

Associate or higher degree in bookkeeping, business, or a related field.
Note: a high school diploma or high school equivalency and four (4) years of work experience in accounting/bookkeeping and/or reconciliation task may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Related Experience

Two (2) years experience in accounting/bookkeeping and/or reconciliation task required.

Desirable Related Experience

Prior experience in a higher education business/accounting office or similar related experience preferred.
