Student Accounts Associate (Search Extended) Murfreesboro, Tennessee
You’ll be handling all things related to student discounts, waivers, scholarships, and assistantships. This means checking eligibility, managing accounts, processing transactions, and keeping documents organized for audits. You'll also be in charge of various reports, calculating assistantship proration, and preparing necessary spreadsheets. Daily, you’ll provide support to students, staff, and faculty, helping with account inquiries, payments, refunds, tax forms, and understanding MTSU policies. Plus, you'll tackle other tasks and special projects as needed.
Senior Project Coordinator – OPSR Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Middle Tennessee State University Center for Health and Human Services, in partnership with the MTSU Data Science Institute, will form an Office of Prevention Science and Recovery (OPSR) for purposes of addressing the opioid epidemic through strategic and coordinated efforts at the local level in response to and working collaboratively with the Rutherford County Opioid Board (RCOB). The senior project coordinator will be responsible for working under the direction of the CHHS Director and in consultation with the RCOB to coordinate core activities of the OPSR to include: • Promoting, reviewing, and assisting the County in vetting proposals and funding requests from county opioid funds received as a result of the opioid litigation settlement(s). • Providing expertise to participating organizations to leverage best practices in implementation efforts and creating a detailed “request for proposal” application process for external organizations to request consideration for funding from the County. • Establishing eligibility criteria, assessing application component completion, and providing the County with a pre-screening review of all applicants utilizing mutually agreed-upon screening guidelines. • Provide training for RCOB members on utilizing a scoring rubric developed by CHHS which the RCOB will use to score all proposals. • Collaborate with the CHHS Director and the MTSU Data Science Institute on grantee/applicant reporting metrics that align with state funding priorities and guidelines and which support meaningful data collection individually and aggregately to inform the County and state governmental officials and other stakeholders. • Assist the CHHS and DSI team in coordinating all administrative and fiscal requirements of the contract including development of required and requested reports. • Provide other assistance to the CHHS director and DSI team that support successful fulfillment of contract deliverables and to further development of the OPSR.
Advisor - University College Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Advisors in the University College are responsible for assisting students with their plans to reach educational goals at MTSU. An emphasis is placed on each advising position to increase retention and graduation rates. Program advising emphasis for the Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies, Bachelor of Science in Integrated Studies or undeclared students. The University College advisors work with the following groups of students: Traditional Students, Prescribed Students, Undeclared Students, Transfer Students and Traditional Students Meta Major as defined herein. Traditional advisors work with students from the point of matriculation to graduation. The primary role of a traditional advisor is to provide educational guidance and assistance for students by planning schedules, recommending courses and determining appropriate education solutions for different types of students. The traditional advisor will monitor student progression and intervene as necessary to ensure students stay on track for graduation. The traditional advisor is responsible for the retention of the students assigned to them and will have regular contact with the students to ensure they are aware of available interventions that could help the student succeed. The Advisor is responsible to maintain accurate student records using internal student tracking software to support the retention strategies and evaluate student progress and satisfaction. The Advisor will perform related tasks and special projects as assigned. Note: a flexible work schedule is required to accommodate student requests for advising after traditional work hours.
Coordinator - ET Outreach Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Serves as the primary liaison between external stakeholders and the Engineering Technology department. Responsible for organizing recruitment activities for prospective students/visitors and Engineering outreach events for K-12 students and the local community. Serves as the forward face to the ET Industrial Advisory Board as well as sponsorship of internship fairs, company recruitment/interviews, and promotion activities. Manager - Maintenance School Support Murfreesboro, Tennessee
The Manager—Maintenance School Support is responsible for maintaining the 14 CFR Part 147 maintenance program's equipment and training aids. Assist with the maintenance of training devices and simulators. Provide facilities management and support for the Maintenance Management degree. Assist Aerospace Maintenance Management and Part 147 instructors as needed, including but not limited to assisting in class/labs, substitute teaching, and aiding in procuring classroom/lab space. Maintenance Helper Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Perform relamping duties as assigned. Complete routine and urgent work orders and perform building relamping to include targeting specific buildings and checking each lamp and fixture in all rooms and halls. Actively participate in training opportunities as assigned to gain additional knowledge in general building maintenance and repairs. Replace lamps and ballasts, repair and clean fixtures, plunge and clear plumbing blockages, and provide project support as assigned. Electrician Lead Worker - Search Extended Murfreesboro, Tennessee
The primary responsibility for this role is to install, repair, retrofit, and maintain all exterior lighting at MTSU using ladders, lifts or the bucket truck as needed. The Electrician Lead Worker will check all electrical work for code compliance, proper installation, and safety considerations. The Electrician Lead Worker will perform all phases of electrical work to include but not limited to measuring for conduit, bending pipes, and pulling wire, installing electrical circuits for renovated classrooms and offices at Middle Tennessee State University. Staff Pianist Murfreesboro, Tennessee
