Job Summary/Basic Function

The Development Office Coordinator reports to the Executive Director of Development. The Coordinator will assist the Executive Director in numerous functions including but not limited to assisting with the Executive Director’s schedule, collecting monthly reports from the Development Officers, processing and tracking travel and entertainment expenses of the Development team, providing monthly budget reports, producing reports through the Development team’s database management system, assisting with solicitation and event preparation, production, and follow up, and assisting with donor research and analysis. The Coordinator will serve as the initial point of contact for general Development inquiries and route those inquiries to the appropriate team member. The Coordinator may be asked to occasionally provide general administrative backup for Advancement Services and / or Alumni Affairs. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.

Required Education

High School Diploma or High School Equivalency

Required Related Experience

Three years of directly related secretarial, clerical, accounting/bookkeeping, or administrative office experience required.

Desirable Related Experience

Demonstrated ability to organize and manage information and multiple tasks. Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new skills. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (especially Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Teams). Familiarity with and / or willingness to learn Quicken. Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service.

Desirable License/Registration/Certification

Bachelor’s degree preferred. CAP/CPS preferred.
