| Reporting to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Recruitment, the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Recruitment has responsibility for all duties and activities that support the recruitment and admission of students to Middle Tennessee State University, a large, complex state institution. Oversee travel assignments, territory management, and goals for recruitment staff; report all progress to the Associate Director, Director, and VP. Serve as an official representative of Middle Tennessee State University at college fairs, high school visits, two-year college visits, and other recruitment activities.
Essential duties include: Tracking application and admissions trends; providing leadership and mentorship to the recruitment team. Resolve recruiter problems (on and off the road) while providing fill-in/back-up travel duties as necessary. Provide information about the University to prospective students and their families; compile, analyze, and assess data for use in recruitment and enrollment decisions; conduct application file evaluations. Encourage, promote and maintain relationships with high school guidance counselors and community college partners; conduct information sessions for campus visitors; maintain regular correspondence with prospective students; perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Assistant Director - Budget & Financial Planning

| The Associate Athletic Trainer will report to the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine. The position will supervise and coordinate athletic training services for student-athletes in intercollegiate athletic programs – primarily men’s basketball.
Essential duties include but are not be limited to: assist with the prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, physician referral, and medical documentation of all injuries associated with assigned student athletes; communicate with coaches, student athletes, parents, staff and physicians within NATA and HIPAA guidelines; observe all athletic policy and procedures in accordance with NATA regulations as well as NCAA, Conference USA and MTSU rules and remain certified to perform these duties on a daily basis. Coordinate Concussion testing and baseline testing for all assigned student athletes; provide supervision of daily practice and game coverage, in season travel, and summer sports workout coverage for assigned student athletes as permitted by NCAA legislation. Required to be flexible and adapt to schedule changes as necessary. Serve as an approved preceptor within the CAATE accredited graduate athletic training program. Provide direct supervision of intern athletic trainers for assigned sports and graduate athletic training students in the athletic training education program; instruct these students in professional prevention, care and rehabilitation of assigned student-athletes as well as the certification and licensure process. |

| The Assistant Director for Educational Services and School Outreach at the Tennessee Center for the Study and Treatment of Dyslexia at Middle Tennessee State University provides leadership in developing, coordinating, and delivering educational services that support evidence-based literacy instruction and intervention for K–12 students with reading difficulties, including dyslexia.
The position is primarily responsible for designing and delivering professional development for educators across Tennessee in in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. The Assistant Director for Educational Services and School Outreach collaborates with schools, districts, families, university, and community partners to identify needs and develop responsive training and outreach initiatives. The role also includes coordinating workshops and conferences, consulting with families and school personnel regarding instructional programming and accommodations, and contributing to student evaluation processes through participation on the Clinical Assessment Team.
In addition, the Assistant Director for Educational Services and School Outreach helps supervise graduate assistants in assessment-related activities, supports the Center’s research initiatives, and identifies gaps in professional learning offerings to develop new training modules and resources.
This position requires expertise in evidence-based literacy instruction, assessment, and educational policy related to learning disabilities, along with strong communication, relationship-building, and program evaluation skills. A master’s degree in education, psychology, or a related field is required; a terminal degree (Ed.D., Ph.D.) and/or advanced certification in dyslexia or structured literacy are preferred.
This role is central to advancing the Center’s mission of promoting understanding of dyslexia and removing obstacles to reading and writing for K-12 students with dyslexia. |

Actively participates in programs promoting recruitment and retention efforts within the MTSU Professional Pilot concentration and supporting activities related to the department’s mission and safety program.
