Job Summary/Basic Function
Provide secretarial and clerical support to the Directors of the MS-PS and Doctoral Programs (Computational Science, Mathematics and Science Education, Molecular Biosciences) in the College of Basic and Applied Sciences. Primary responsibilities include: monitor and reconcile the four program budgets, purchase equipment and supplies, prepare paper work associated with the program including GA contracts and travel, maintain student recruitment and student files; provide word processing tasks to prepare promotional literature, correspondence, etc; answer the telephone, provide basic information about the degrees offered and direct inquiries to proper staff; organize and prepare for meetings; perform other related tasks as assigned.
Required Education
High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.
Required Related Experience
Three years progressively responsible secretarial/office experience required. Note: An Associate's degree (two years of college coursework) and one year related experience may be considered in lieu of work experience.
Desirable License/Registration/Certification
CAP/CPS preferred
College graduate preferred
