Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Art and Design at Middle Tennessee State University is seeking adjunct faculty members for the Fall 2022 semester to teach the following courses: ART 1610 2D Design - a survey of the visual elements and design principles used in two-dimensional art and design; ART 1620 Drawing I - a beginning course that focuses on learning to draw primarily from observation and exploring the process of drawing through a limited range of introductory media including charcoal, Conté crayon, graphite, and/or ink.

Required Education

MFA in Art/Design or a closely related field

Likewise, if selected for an appointment, you will be required to provide letters of PROFESSIONAL recommendation from three sources. The letters should be on letterhead, must be current and specific to the job posting, bear a physical signature, and may not be provided from a general dossier. The letters must be submitted directly to the department chair from the recommenders and cannot be provided by the candidate.
