Job Summary/Basic Function

The School of Agriculture's Fermentation Science Program at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a postdoctoral research assistant position (J45010). This is a one-year temporary, grant-based appointment with a start date as early as June 15, 2022. In conjunction with the faculty of the Fermentation Science Program, the successful candidate will focus on developing parameters for the establishment of a fermentation-based antibiotic production facility. The primary objectives are to determine appropriate equipment requirements, tankage, and pump sizing, assuming fed-batch or continuous-type operations are employed.

Required Education

PhD in chemical engineering, food engineering, or a closely related field.

Other Desirables

Applicants with engineering or engineering management of food or drug production experience will receive special consideration.
