Provide general administrative support for the department such as: answer telephone, greet and assist visitors and students; maintain confidential files and databases; generate database reports, create/maintain multiple spreadsheets/databases for various tasks and reports, maintain departmental list servs, retrieve student transcripts, Serve as the department’s Records Management Coordinator. Provide back-up assistance during absences of Chairperson’s Administrative Associate and perform other related tasks as assigned. |

| The administrative assistant will support the Associate Vice Provost for Online Learning, the MTSU Online Director, and the MTSU Online unit. The position will perform administrative and clerical tasks to provide high-quality service to students, faculty, staff, and the public. This person will organize and manage assigned tasks from the Associate Vice Provost for Online Learning. Responsibilities include scheduling meetings and appointments; providing information about MTSU Online via phone, email, etc.; drafting correspondence and memos; monitoring and reconciling budget expenditures; making travel arrangements; providing assistance with local conferences and workshops; purchasing office supplies; performing other related tasks and projects as assigned. Work hours will be Monday through Friday in the MTSU Online unit office, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This is not a remote position. |

Provide direct support to Director and Associate Director (i.e. quality, in-depth, one on one consulting to owners of new/startup businesses, aspiring entrepreneurs, growing/established businesses et al).
