Job Summary/Basic Function

The UAS Operations Assistant Lab Coordinator is responsible for assisting UAS faculty members and the UAS Lab Coordinator with the conduct of UAS lab operations and maintenance of UAS program aircraft and sensors, program support equipment and vehicles.

Required Education

Bachelors degree required. In lieu of a bachelor's degree one of the following may be substituted: 1) Associate's degree and additional two years of directly related experience in UAS operations, or 2) High school diploma and additional four years of directly related experience in UAS operations.

Required Related Experience

One (1) year of military or civilian unmanned aircraft experience which includes flight operations, maintenance, data collection, and data interpretation.

Required License/Registration/Certification

Current FAA Remote Pilot Certificate required.

Desirable Related Experience

Special consideration will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:

A total of two (2) years of civilian sUAS experience which included flight operations, maintenance, data collection, and interpretation.

FAA Private Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating.

Desirable License/Registration/Certification

Active security clearance preferred.
