Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Health and Human Performance at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#120030) at the rank of Lecturer in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology. This is a one year temporary position with possible annual renewal for up to three years total. Start date for the position is August 1, 2021. Position contingent upon funding.

Duties include teaching courses at the undergraduate level in language development, speech sound disorders, anatomy and physiology, supervision of undergraduate student clinicians; other courses related to the field; and commitment to outstanding teaching and program level service.

Required Education

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology Audiology or closely related field.

Required Experience

Minimum of two years clinical experience

Required License/Registration/Certification

License/Certificate of Clinical Competence/SLP; and Tennessee State Licensure obtained or applied for upon appointment

Other Desirables

Applicants who have expertise in phonological/articulation development and disorders, proficiency in clinical supervision, and intervention with linguistically and culturally diverse populations as well as those with prior experience in teaching phonetics, language, anatomy, and speech sound disorders will receive special consideration. Also, applicants with a PhD in Speech Language Pathology Audiology or closely related field will receive special consideration.
