Job Summary/Basic Function

Reporting to the President, provide critical, high level leadership and direction to the MTSU campus community to support and enhance the University's commitment to institutional equity and compliance; advance and sustain a positive environment which supports both the letter and the spirit of laws regarding equal opportunity and access in employment and education; support the president in executing the institution's mission as it relates to recruitment, employment, retention, and development of faculty, staff, and students and perform other related special projects as assigned.

Required Education

Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, Human Relations or a related area required. Law Degree or Doctorate degree in Higher Education Administration, Human Relations, or related field preferred.

Required Related Experience

Eight years full time experience working in higher education, law, victim's assistance/advocacy, judicial affairs, counseling or related field. Knowledge/experience in supervision required. Knowledge/experience with issues of equity and compliance, complaint investigation, and Title IX mediation, is required.
