Job Summary/Basic Function

Middle Tennessee State University, College of Media Entertainment invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#144200) at the rank of assistant/associate professor for our Department of Media Arts to teach Media Management and Media Arts courses. Start date for the position is August 1, 2021. Position contingent upon funding.

The successful candidate should be able to teach courses related to aspects of Media Management such as media sales, distribution, marketing and promotion, programming, and media law.  Teaching will be on-ground and may also include online teaching.

Required Education

Terminal degree in Media Management or related field. A master's degree in Media Management or a related field with at least five (5) years demonstrated exceptional industry experience may be considered in lieu of the terminal degree.

Required Related Experience

Minimum five (5) years directly relevant industry experience

Other Desirables

Candidates with previous college-level teaching experience and/or strong industry experience will receive special consideration.
