Job Summary/Basic Function

Middle Tennessee State University, Department of History invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#126160) in the history of the Holocaust at the rank of assistant/associate professor. Start date for the position is August 1, 2021. Position contingent upon funding.

The successful candidate will be a historian of Europe with a specialization in the Holocaust.  Teaching expectations include undergraduate survey courses, upper-division undergraduate courses in the Holocaust and Nazi Germany, and graduate courses in the candidate's field of expertise.  They will be expected to take a leadership role in MTSU's Biennial Holocaust and Genocide Studies Conference.  An active research agenda is expected.

Required Education

Terminal degree in History or closely related field by appointment date.
